As a Toxinologist, Dr. Abo has worked with Miami-Dade Fire Rescue for several years as the Medical Director of Venom One. Established in 1998 Venom One was the only public safety venom bank in the country.

Located in central, Venom Two was established with the expertise of Dr. Abo. Venom Two has responded to several envenomations within Florida. With the help of Dr. Abo, Poison Control, and Venom One the morbidity and mortality from bites has been lowered drastically.
